Allocate a Payment or Credit to an Invoice

Overview  

This video explains how to allocate a payment to either a purchase invoice or a sales invoice in the company statement screen. Although the video shows you how to allocate one payment, or credit, to an invoice you can use the same process to allocate multiple payments or credits to multiple invoices, just green select the ones you wish to allocate. A step by step guide can be found below the video.


Steps 

  1. Open the Company Record .
  2. Go to the Statement tab.
  3. Green select the payment(s) you want to allocate in the Allocate From grid.
  4. Green select the invoice(s) you want to allocate the payment(s) to in the Allocate To grid.
  5. Use the Actions menu to select Allocate Payments/Credits to Invoice .
