Client Query - Courier Rejecting Order due to Incorrect Stock Item Weights. How can I Change this?

Question

A Sales Order is rejected by a courier because the item is too heavy to be shipped with them.

In reality it is not too heavy and the user has changed the weight on the stock item’s page to fall below the maximum. Why will it still not verify? 

Answer

The order has already been generated and changes to stock items will not retro update on orders.

To resolve this from the Shipment stage of Sales Invoice Manager:
  1. Green select the order in Shipping stage of Sales Invoice Manager.
  2. Click on the Actions button.
  3. Select Confirm Shipment.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. In the bottom grid you should see the Sales Order in question.
  6. Edit the actual weight of the Order.
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Green Select the order.
  9. Click on the Actions button.
  10. Select Assign to Courier.
