Using Postcodes to Assign Couriers

Using Postcodes to Assign Couriers

Overview

This video explains how postcodes can be used to assign couriers to outgoing orders, for more information about how the postcode matching works see Configuring Postcodes. Written instructions are provided below the video.

Steps

  1. Go to [System Setup | Courier Bandings].
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Select postcode field of the row you wish to edit.
  4. Enter the postcodes that you wish to have assigned to a specific courirer.
    1. Postcodes can be entered as a range eg. LN[3-6] (which will include all postcodes beginning LN3, LN4, LN5 and LN6), as a specific area LN3 (which will only include all LN3 postcodes).
    2. Multiple non consecutive postcodes and ranges can also be entered, separated by a comma.
  5. Where a postcode occurs in more than one row (such as in a range in one row, but on its own in another) then the priority will be used, with 1 being the highest priority.
  6. Click Save Screen when finished.
