In KCC the email manager screen and domain registration has
changed.
Email Manager
Within the email manager screen (Dashboard > Email
Manager) there is now a new way to view information with a clearer chart and an
easy way to search for emails sent by Khaos Control Cloud.
Within this screen, you will now find a grid with sort
columns, search, filters, and a table of information about messages sent.
By default, the information loaded will be from one week
onwards.
The columns are:
Status
(either queued, failed, delivered)
The
last attempted date of action, either send or retry
The
subject of the email
The
recipient
The
name of the sender and the email the sender used
A
view column, of which can be opened to view the email in detail
Upon the view button being clicked you will see a HTML copy
of the email in it’s emailed form. This will show the attachments sent, the body
of the email used and extra details such as when the email was sent, why it
failed, when it was delivered and if any retries were actioned.
Attachments can be downloaded at a touch of a button.
Additional Actions
Emails
can be cancelled if queued, resulting in emails being stopped before they
leave the application. This comes in handy to validate what’s going out
and performs based on the Sending Frequency in System Data > Doc &
Email setting > Email Settings
If
an email has moved on from the queue, the user is able to resend the email
to either a new email address or the existing address, this comes in handy
for sending copies or correcting the flow of emails based on bad email
address entry
Additional Stats
The database for Email Manager shows additional messaging
such as:
Deliverability;
which shows how likely emails are to reach the customers inbox based on
reputation of bounce rates etc. A high bounce rate and being flagged as spam
will impact this stat and to improve the stat you must ensure that emails
are entered correctly, go to the right inbox first time and ensure your
KCC mailing lists are as clean as possible
The
email manger will also show alerts based with a red indicator, this will normally
populate if problems are being experienced, such as an unverified domain
Registering domains
The way that domains are added to KCC have changed slightly
to make it easier for users to copy DNS records and verify their own domain.
The changes can be seen in System Setup > Doc & Email
Settings > Email Settings and Add a Domain

The aim of this is to allow users to compare their current
DNS settings with what is expected so that they can get verified as quickly as
possible.
Multiple domains can also be managed here with their own
verification, own settings and names.
The way these domains are used throughout the system have
not changed, the main purpose of sending invoices, statements and sales
acknowledgement at a click of a button in various screens.
