Reverse Move With or Unbuild

Reverse Move With or Unbuild

Overview

You may have items where the build parent items are bought in a case but sold in both the individual units and also as a case.

Usage

The preferred method of doing this is to have two stock items set up on KCC, one for the case you buy and one for the individual items sold.
  1. Create two stock items, both should be stock controlled:
    1. Case (Parent item)
    2.  Individual product (Child item)
  2. Go to the relationship tab of the case (build parent) item in Edit mode.
  3. Change the relationship type to Build and click Save Stock Item.
  4. Populate the relationship table by clicking the +New button and selecting the individual item.
    1. In the Qty pop up box enter how many of the individual item make up a case.
  5. When the table is populated select a row and click Value Prop.
    1. This option allows you to specify the % value of the case that comes from the child item.
    1. The total value % of all items in the table needs to add up to 100%.
    2. Use the AutoSet Value Proportions to carry out the step 5 if needed.
In future when you book the case in you need to go to the relationship tab (not in edit mode) and click the unbuild button. This will then break the case down into the quantities specified in the relationship table.
