Setting up your Shiptheory Courier

It is possible for you to setup your Shiptheory courier.  Please read the instructions and notes before you begin.

Note:
  1. If you wish to use Shiptheory rules you only need to specify your email and password, the orders will be sent to Shiptheory who will then select your shipping method as per your settings on Shiptheory.
  2. You will need to define a new Shiptheory courier in KCC for each courier service that you have defined on Shiptheory unless you are using Shiptheory rules.
  3. You can create a Shiptheory template and then use the Copy Courier option to copy the details and then configure the courier service. This will save time repeating information like your password and other details.

Step One - Create the Courier

  1. Open System Setup.
  2. Click on System Data.
  3. Double click on Couriers.
  4. In the courier screen, click on the Edit button.
  5. Click on the +New button to add a new courier.
  6. Enter the courier Code.
  7. Add a Service Name, for example DPD 24, Palletways Premium Next Day, Parcelforce etc.
    1. If you're using Shiptheory rules, step 6 and 7 have no significance, however this is the information that will appear in paperwork and menus on the system.
  8. In the export type select Shiptheory.
  9. Click Save screen.

Step Two - Configure the Courier

  1. Click on the Shiptheory courier.
  2. Click on the Actions button.
  3. Select Courier Config.
    1. In the Shiptheory Email panel, add your Shiptheory login email.
    2. In the Shiptheory password, add your Shiptheory password.
    3. Add the Printer Name in the appropriate box. 
    4. Click OK at the bottom of the dialog.

Step Three - Copy the Courier Setup

You can setup a template and use this as a basis to setup further Shiptheory services.
  1. Create the Shiptheory template, steps one and two above. This is the basic Shiptheory you wish to replicate and then update.
  2. Add a new entry for the Shiptheory courier service you wish to define.
  3. Focus on the Shiptheory courier line created in step 2 above.
  4. Click on the Actions button.
  5. Select Copy Courier Config.
  6. In the popup:
    1. Select the Shiptheory template.
    2. Click Yes and then Continue.
    3. Click Yes and then Continue in the confirmation popup.

Step Four - Adding Service Codes

  1. Focus on the Shiptheory courier.
  2. Click on the Actions button.
  3. Select Service Codes Lookup.
  4. The system will access all the services that you have setup on your Shiptheory account.
  5. Select the service you wish to add.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. In the confirmation popup click Yes and then Continue.
  8. The service code will be added into the Config options for the Shiptheory courier.
