Client Query - Stock Allocations from Within a Sales Order

Problem/Question 

Can I allocate or unallocate stock to / from a sales order without having to use Back Order Manager?


Solution

Yes! Just follow the steps below from within the sales order - it does not even need to be in Edit mode.
  1. Green select the items.
  2. Click the orange Grid Actions button and select the required option as per the details below.
    1. Cancel Remaining Quantity - This option will have KCC treat the selected stock item on the order as if no more will be received. The order will no longer be treated as Awaiting Stock for these items.
    2. Manual Hold Invoice - This option will make the system place the sales order in to the Manual Hold region of Sales Invoice Manager.
    3. Assign Stock - Selecting this will force KCC to allocate this stock item to the sales order.
    4. Unassign Stock - Selecting this option will have KCC unallocate this stock item from the sales order.
    5. Postpone Assignment (On or Off) -
      1. When switched on, KCC will not automatically allocate the selected stock item(s) to this order and it must be done manually after turning postpone off.
      2. When switched off, KCC will automatically allocate the stock item(s).
